The Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company hosted our annual Halloween "Truck or Treat" event on Thursday, October 31, 2019. Each year, as word spreads, we're getting ever more popular. When we opened the doors, the line to get in stretched around the corner of the building. We're thrilled to bring Truck or Treat to the Chestertown community. It gives us the opportunity to meet those we have the privilege of providing fire and life safety services to. It also allows our community in to get a close-up look at the equipment, our station and the people that work tirelessly to provide our community with first-rate service.
Unfortunately, near the end of Truck or treat, we were dispatched to a commercial building fire in Worton. Most of our firefighting personnel and equipment left to handle that incident. When the call was dispatched, it was a little exciting as our guests got to see first hand what happens in the fire station when we're dispatched to a call.
Very near the conclusion of Truck or Treat, we were delighted by a visit of some clients of Kent Center. They came in to greet us and fill their containers with sugar goodness. :-)
Thank You to all the friends and families who visited us for Truck or Treat. Without your support, this event, and our continuing efforts to provide service to the Chestertown / Kent County community would not be possible. Thanks Again!
