About the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company

The Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company is one of seven organizations in Kent County, located on the eastern shore of Maryland. The company runs mutual aid with Queen Anne's County as the first due company in some of company 5 (Church Hill)  & 7's (Crumpton) area. The company is staffed by dedicated volunteer men and women of all ages 100% of the time. Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company is a family away from home that is dedicated to serving and protecting the life and property in Kent County and northern Queen Anne's County. 

We respond to 600+ emergencies a year. We are the largest company in Kent County staffing three engines, one tower ladder, one rescue, one tanker, one brush unit, one chief's unit , one utility truck and one all terrain vehicle. The station is within walking distance from the campus of Washington College.
