On Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 7:34 am, the Chestertown VFC, Rock Hall VFC, Kennedyville VFC, Kent & Queen Annes Rescue Squad and Kent County EMS was dispatched to the Motor Vehicle Collision with Rollover, Lambs Meadow Road (Maryland 298) & Handy Point Road. While enroute, additional information was provided indicating the driver of the overturned vehicle had self-extricated.
Units arrived to find a 2 - vehicle crash, T-Bone type collision. The pick-up truck had sustained severe front end damage. The SUV had subsequently overturned. With the assistance of an unidentified bystander who had stopped to help, the driver of this vehicle was able to self-extricate from the vehicle. Both patients were evaluated by EMS and refused treatment and transportation to the hospital.
Lambs Meadow Road (Maryland 298) was briefly closed while the vehicles were removed and the roadway cleared of debris and fluids cleaned up. The crash scene was turned over to the Maryland State Police.
