Motor Vehicle Collision - Augustine Herman Highway, Chestertown

On Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 12:13 am, the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched as part of a multi-company assignment to the 10,500 block of Augustine Herman Highway (Maryland 213) near (Maryland 561) Lynch Road for the Motor Vehicle Crash with Entrapment. The actual location proved to be Augustine Herman Highway (Maryland 213) and Rileys Mill Road.

 

First arriving units found a single vehicle crash (overturned) where the car had landed back on its wheels. There was one patient entrapped in the vehicle. Using our Hurst “Jaws of Life” system, the patient was quickly extricated and transferred to an ambulance for further evaluation. The patient was subsequently airlifted by Maryland State Police Aviation to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland with life-threatening injuries. The condition of the patient is not known at the time of this release.
