Public Service - Worton Park, Worton

Our members handled a non-emergency call for service earlier on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Kent County Youth Baseball reached out to us, asking it we could come water the diamonds. Due to the extreme heat and blistering sun, they were an absolute dust bowl, which makes for difficult, challenging playing conditions.

A private "page" was put out to our members, asking for help. We had no trouble raising a small crew and responded to help out. We've done this previously for the Chestertown Elk's Lodge. No matter whom it's for, especially when it's not a fire... but a special request, it's a satisfying thrill to help out with our equipment and it's specialized capabilities.
