On Thursday, November 20, 2025, at approximately 3:42 pm… The Chestertown VFC… along with multiple mutual aid companies, was dispatched to the serious Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury on Morgnec Road (Maryland 291) near Maiden Lot Farm. This is just east of the “Blue Bridge” across Morgnec Creek.
First arriving, K&QA Rescue Squad Ambulance 8-2, reported a very serious crash… “Head-On”, with one heavily entrapped. Maryland State Police Aviation was initially summoned for the Medevac… But was subsequently canceled.
The heavily entrapped patient, was found to be in trauma / cardiac arrest. This victim was declared deceased at the crash scene.
Two other patients were transported by ground to University of Maryland, Shore Hospital at Chestertown with non-life threatening injuries.
Morgnec Road (Maryland 291) was closed for an undetermined amount of time while the Maryland State Police concluded a crash investigation.
