At 3:19 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched as Mutual Aid to the Good Will Fire Company (Centreville, Maryland) to the 300 block of Wrights Neck Road, west of Centreville, for the Barn Fire. This constitutes a timed run of nearly 30 minutes from Chestertown.
Our Tanker 6 made the response and contributed to the Water Supply Operation.
Tuesday proved to be a busy day for the Chestertown VFC, starting with this incident, followed by the Mutual Aid response to the Working Structure Fire in Fishing Valley. We were dispatched to a commercial fire alarm on High Street later in the afternoon. The alarm was found to be accidental / good intent. Late in the evening, near midnight, we were than dispatched to assist the Rock Hall VFC with a Smoke Alarm activation but were subsequently canceled.
