Cody Wiltbank, one of our newest members, successfully completed the Maryland Fire & Rescue Institute's Firefighter I program. Firefighter I is the entry level training program that teach new firefighters the fundamentals of firefighting. From here, personnel have the opportunity to go for more advanced classes, some of which provide college credits.

On Sunday, March 3, 2019 at approximately 2:57 pm, the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company, Kennedyville Volunteer Fire Company, Church Hill Volunteer Fire Company, Crumpton Volunteer Fire Company, Kent & Queen Annes Rescue Squad and Kent County EMS was dispatched for the Dwelling Fire with Entrapment in the 800 block of Washington Avenue. This placed the incident near the Washington Square Shopping Center.
